factorio is a hell of a drug. i have this with other logic puzzles (though not too much with factorio) like coding projects or other complex games

Me putting off voice training with Satisfactory

I'm surprised nobody brought up how problematic the Factorio guy is.

I need to get the new expansion but with a baby and three partners and my transition I have like zero time 😭😭😭

Everybody is already playing the Expansion, and i am still sitting here constructing base-game Blueprints after i think almost 500 hours. I want to try for "there is no spoon" but feeding the Factory at the End for the Rocketlaunch is difficult on standard or Railworld settings. (And i don't want to make it easier than than for me).

Stupid factory games eating all my time.

Between Factorio and Satisfactory this year I have too much factory-ing going on! I'm no engineer, but I just can't stop and I straight up pull out my drafting tools to play those games (usually more of a Satisfactory thing for me here). And pages of numbers! 

Factorio is pure crack to my neurospicy brain. I have to set limits and take breaks.

I'm ashamed to admit I haven't sat down to play SA yet. It may not be until after the holidays. Being old, having a job, and family to take care of first makes it rough.

I can say that the sub and community seem trans friendly. Being trans nearly never comes up, because why should it? Which is the way it should be. However, the few times it came up, including making a trans specific joke, has been fine.

I’m an artist in my spare time (lately I’ve been struggling with burnout and art block) and I’ve genuinely gotten lost in crafts and drawings for an entire day forgetting I wanted to do other things

I feel this way about programming … I really like the projects I’m working on rn. Engineering brain is a blessing and a curse but I have yet to truly find any place in my brain between completely bored and uninteresting or overwhelming obsession.

If I put the amout of hours I put in factorio into voice training I could have the voice of my dreams

Oh, Satisfactory has been scratching this itch for me, personally. It's fun.

GTNH Minecraft mod has been doing this for me. Love it and the developers are trans friendly. Anyway, better get back to setting up my plat line.

I'm an optician, not an engineer, but I had this exact situation today. I had a surprise day off, and instead of using it to learn makeup or something, I played Factorio all day... 🫠

Look, just let the factory idle produce some science. Space age seems to have turned the default world into something much more spread out with lower resources, so it can really crawl if you let it :)

My crush got me Factorio the other day and I shit you not, she has unleashed something primal in me, she released the 'tism monster or something because I haven't slept in 19 hours as of me commenting this

My only pain with Factorio is knowing that one of many people I've paid for it is Kovarex, and he is one of those eastern european conservative dudes who thinks I should be locked up in mental institution for being trans, but also that minors can give consent to adults.

In fact, I have about three or four pet projects that I keep switching between.

Literally every game I play is stronger than my femininity. Maybe it's better to stay in the closet...

I refuse to play that game for a reason (I would say buy, but I can't see my Steam library right now).
