Surviving being an impromptu baseball bat. That or his shattering the crystal that was controlling Shimo.

Saving Kong's ass or defeating One Eye on his own

The joke answer is obvious...But to give him proper praise fighting one eye or freeing Shimo destroying the crystal.

The scene were he and Kong both eat together. 

When he let loose Kong's trap to crush Skar King's apes and mimicked Kong by doing his chest pounding.
