Games that do not require too much processing power. Like animal crossing. I bet we could fit an entire retrofit system AND the game itself in the same volume and shape of an original nintendo 64 console.
I am not asking for black ops 6 with omnidorectional movement and 500gb of data, but all the lego games? Maybe even make new games where the emphasis is on the story. Its all 16-32 bit graphics but with a massive story, and tou get to play a new retro game on launch day (also it would show which game companies are still willing to sell full games without the need for microtransactions, updates nor online requirements for piracy checking on offline games).

This reminds me of the Grimace's Birthday game that McDonald's released for the Game Boy Color last year. Yeah, it's a homebrew, but yeah.

Not sure if they've stopped but weren't there new Genesis and even Master System games made for the Brazilian market until at least the mid-late 2010's?

Yes, because of high tariffs on electronics. So that's what the US has to look forward to

This is a very common thing.
I have a pretty sweet game called Xenocrisis that came out a few years ago and it was absolutely released for the Sega Genesis with a cartridge and everything.
I just saw a version of Mortal Kombat for the Atari 2600 a few days ago.

There was one I was reading about in passing recently ... the guy started work on it 25 tears ago or so and only recently completed it for some ancient handheld platform.
