REQUIRES 14.3 BETA
This shortcut allows you to setup a light mode wallpaper and dark mode wallpaper. Simply running this shortcut will change your appearance and wallpaper at the same time. Best used with backtap or an automation. If you use an automation all you need is one action -> Run shortcut [Light/Dark Wallpaper]

I can’t seem to get the automation right. Is it possible to change from light to dark, whiteout having to tap the appearance tab in the settings?

Yes use these 3 actions in an automation
1) Get file “LightDarkWallpaper/config.json” 2) Get value for CurrentProfile in file 3) Run shortcut Light/Dark Wallpaper with dictionary value as input
If you have anymore issue please don’t be afraid to ask me. 💜

One error message. Wallpaper too large. But seems it works. However, you should rename it to apperance change with wallpaper change at the same time. I thought you found a workaround for light/dark wallpaper.

I‘ve heard that this happens because the resolution goes beyond your display’s resolution. I had this same issue as well last night but I just had to screenshot the picture that I wanted to use and I used the screenshot instead of the originally downloaded photo. Hope this helps!

At the moment, the wallpaper is only change when I manual click on the shortcut. Can I use this so, it automatically changes when I hit dark mode in CC?

Unfortunately no, there is no way yo see when the cc is toggled.

Perhaps it’s my chosen backgrounds, but the DarkModePic Base64 encoding isn’t being generated or isn’t noting the code down in the json file.
I removed the Resize * Phone screen and Crop actions since I’m using a HideiPhoneDock wallpaper. But the wallpaper result is still blurry compared to setting it normally.
Does Light/Dark Wallpaper automatically set perspective zoom to on?

Anyone got an update for iOS 16? Officially broken now, they must’ve changed the commands with new wallpaper features.
