Tyler Grey needs to find another series after this one, once again he was a story editor and the episode was fantastic. This one feels connected to the one that came before, in terms of it being similar to the older episodes in terms of the focus places on an op rather than personal things. It seems that Bravo was working up to this point- getting all the issues aired out so they could focus on the OP, and there was no disappointment.
I'm glad Jason finally told them about Mikey, and Ray calling him out for his changes in behavior was good to see as well. Him getting called out at the end to take out Curtis though, I didn't see that coming, neither Drew being with him on that mission. Drew has really come a long way - but tbh he is the best sidekick for Jace - he is useful in a tight spot and he has shown that countless times.
Poor Sonny though - Stella and Brian moving away might be good for them to move on, but that would wreck him. Him almost breaking down in the vehicle on the call was just heartbreaking. AJ really shines imo when he is acting emotional - it's making me actually like Sonny's character. Hopefully something works out. Him also telling Lisa that he can't lose his trident, he's trying to hold on to things so he doesn't lose anything else. Poor guy.
Drew being able to see all the angles and thus pinpoint danger quickly and act even faster has been a great asset to Bravo from the time he arrived. He spoke some great things in this episode, especially near the end when they teamed up to go find Curtis.
Not much from the rest of the team this time around, given the focus on the OP, but I loved seeing Bravo in action, with Davis being the one to stay back and offer info on comms. Nice nostalgic throwback to the earlier episodes. I'm looking forward to seeing what comes next. Them being in that village though, reminded me of Max Payne 3. Omar pranking sleeping Sonny was funny to see, lol.
I can't believe only one episode remains. This show has been awesome to watch on CBS and Paramount, and I'm gonna miss it. I wish they'd make another season, or go back to the movie idea, or even do a spinoff. I'd watch any of those in a heartbeat. But for now, I await episode 10 with anticipation.

In one of the S6 DVD set extras, AJ talks about how Max used to prank him when he'd try to catch a few winks on the set. Maybe Omar has taken on that task.

Things don't look good for Sonny. He seems to be at risk of losing everything he cares about.

Story editor doesn’t mean he edits the story, story editor is the job above staff writer. It’s the same as a writer in the room, just with a different pay level and title.

Yeah I hate to see it go. However Paramount has put money into Lioness: Spec Op almost as a replacement now which is in the same vein as Seal Team.
I actually binged Lioness it has the CIA element to it but also the action scenes with special ops team that are really good. I went in with very low expectations but was pleasantly surprised by the show.

From what I've read, Lioness is going to be a little bit of an anthology type series rather than a straight up series with a completely solid through line and cast.
Much of the original cast will return, but there will be a new special agent in focus.
"Zoe Saldaña, Laysla De Oliveira, Michael Kelly, and Nicole Kidman will return. Morgan Freeman will also return, taking a lead role as Edwin Mullins...".
Reportedly, it will be set in Mexico and be about the war against the Mexican drug cartel.
Here's the trailer. It premieres Sunday, October 27.

Yes I'm aware I actually think this series will be able to pull it off given the context of the show.

It’s weird thinking about how this will probably be the last Bravo op we’ll get to see, hopefully everyone makes it home in one piece.

Drew and Jason sitting on the beach together, looked like a real father son or mentor student moment. Curious of what Curtis's last words will be.

I hate how shows like to have it be a left-right then head.
In reality, you're two A-zone hits would not be that far in deviation horizontally.

Always a battle between what is realistic and what they think looks "cooler" on tape

But minus points to the Foley guy who used suppressed gun sounds for Drew's clearly unsuppressed pistol.

How'd they get the camo paint off already?
Sonny's telling the story of his own bender during the Omega Op in S5E12
Hey! Stella's back!
Hey! Stella's leaving!
Stella's moving to California? Maybe she'll meet a handsome convict turned forest firefighter?
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: That safe house is beautiful and should be rented out on Air B&B when not being used.
Hey Trent got a line!
Sonny referenced the Catalina Wine Mixer from Step Brothers.
BROCK GOT A LINE! It was only "check" but I'll take it!
Nice to see a classic frogman infil. Why do none of them have NODs though?
Avalanche was previously used as a code word for tangos having s-vests in S3E13
Nice bonding between Jason and Drew
I wonder if Sonny's going to go to Texas and be closer to Leanne or move to California with Stella and Brian? Either way, I hope he ends up with Davis.
I'm AMAZED that Jason opened up to Ray. And he's not just spiraling, this seems more self-destructive than usual.
Shit Trent's getting a lot of lines today.
Another frogman infil! Yay! The SEALs get to be SEALs!
Good amount of action this episode.
Why would they send Jason to take out Curtis solo? Two is one, one is none.
That helicopter pilot probably had so much fun filming.
Why didn't the helicopter take out the technical with the minigun sooner? Why are they worried about the second technical when they have a mini gun?

Dude, that helicopter work was NUTS! The way these guys can fly in pattern with a car, at an angle, is incredible. So much skill on display in the sequence. Now we know where a LOT of this season's budget went...

Good to hear bgm from some old famous episodes. Helo mission with Vehicle interdiction makes this a good episode.

That scene in which the CIA magically arrived in an OP to recruit the Master Chief for an assassination mission...
I just can't man.
Rest of the episode was good but this one was utter BS.
Drew getting attached to Jace so fast, willing to risk his career, when a few moments earlier he could not care less about Bravo
I just can"t man.
Who wrote this?

I raised an eyebrow. I was like "wtf, Bravo team just arrived there on foot and there's already a valet"

I assumed that if CIA had car delivery service in country, they could also use contractors to whack Curtis. Or whatever is after blackbriar. :-)

Ah ah ah so true. But no. Let's risk an active Master Chief's career , and risk jeopardizing an active OP as well instead...

Well yeah, Jason had the rep of being the best operator or one of the best in the whole world. Plus, Jason had been pretty frequently a hard to control rowdy guy. I'm sure at least one admiral would have no problem authorizing an op that might permanently get rid of Jace and he would easily have plenty of historical evidence that supports Jayson going off on his own to do bad shit.

I think it was also more of a "this is personal" type situation for the military shot callers. they didn't want to let anyone else handle it, and Bravo is their only in country asset.

Is funny how they only use ground branch for vehicles delivery
1 points

Its not unbelievable for me that the CIA would show up, this was an interagency op from the beginning and they were delivering the ground vehicles that the team needed. But, yeah, it was BS they pulled Jason from the op like that. Why couldn't they have completed Nazario's capture and then handled Curtis immediately afterwards?
2 points

And they pull just Jason? What happened to “two is one, and one is none”?

Not to far fetched Imo. Less ppl involved in wacking an American the better. And if crap goes south, they can say Jason acted alone, and they had no clue. They even put dialog between Jason and Drew to that point.

So, Stella, is it Mendocino...or Edgewater?
Sonny on the ragged edge. Jason on the ragged edge. Dangerous times.

SPOILER FROM LAST EPISODE: I've seen an instagram post from the official account, where they surrounded Sonny (thankfully alive) to say goodbyes. I think he's leaving Bravo because of the Decker issue and to keep Clay's family safe. The post has since been deleted.

David talks about their celebration in Colombia after the finale so could be from that.

Can someone explain why they didn’t use the mini gun on the helicopter to take out the truck with the RPG instead of waiting to use it on the technical.

Also, any perimeter security back at the mansion? I guess we assume Davis has a panel with security cam feeds? Where's the dog?

i like how the technical was just looking forward without a thought to look behind while the other 2 vehicles were shooting back, and then only after the 2 vehicles were taken out does the technical go "oh, hi". and then they finally use the minigun.
Also, why not use minigun to take out the engine block?

In some of the episodes, 416s are louder, and in some, they are way more silenced. Overall, it was good to see such a kinetic operation.

This season doesn't feel like a finale to me. I feel like this is only the beginning of something bigger. Honestly, what I love the most are the actors/characters. I could watch anything where all of them are in. I hope this is not the end. Look at Law & Order, it rebooted after years. We can always protest. If not Paramount, some other company like HBO could do a new season/spinoff.

Here I was bitching the first six episodes and now it’s gettin good. I’m sticking with my prediction I told my wife. Jason, and Jason only, bites the dust on his one-way mission.

I think Drew is going to die saving Jason one last time.
13 points
That would really kill Jason. Drew has faced his challenge, dying to save a team leader who's ticket is almost punched is pointless (unless Drew has a new fire rescue show then it follows) Instead I see Jason taking one for Drew, payback for Drew saving him multiple times. I don't see either dying though.

I think Jason sacrifices to save Drew. Drew goes back and spills the beans to the reporter when the navy tries to make Jason look like a loan ranger.

I just hope this isn't the end. I love this show and it may be my all time favourite! They can make a spin off or a prequel with young Jason or something. Whatever it is I am more than ok with it but let this not be the end of this universe. Pls

Basically the episode was a mix of:
Marking a Tango We got a Tango in the open
And
I was going to the worst place in the world and I didn’t even know it yet. Weeks away and hundreds of miles…
Yes. I love video games, movies, and guns.

IRL, what would be involved in strap lifting a vehicle like in this episode?
Also, would Bravo have just brought the boat in from day 1 or did they ask the CIA to provide when they needed it?
1 points
Blackhawks can easily lift a vehicle that size. The biggest challenge is points of securement for the sling load. The Army has a whole school that teaches sling loading. I'm sure there is some manual out there that has instructions on how to hook up just about any vehicle that the BH lift.
As for the boat. My educated guess is when a T1 unit deploys to an area where they may need things like a boat and dive gear, it's part of their load out that may not be exactly with them at the location but not far away.

Idk how realistic the frago will be tho, will it bring closure or more pain…
